The Printulu business card templates are readily available for designers in our Printulu website footer – You can download our business card templates to ensure that you are supplying us with the correct artwork size.

How to use a Printulu Illustrator business card template

Using an Illustrator business card template is fairly easy. Follow the steps below to complete your business card design.

Double-click on the Illustrator business card template file

Go to the Layers panel and ensure that the card template layer is locked and hidden

Design your business card in the allotted space – Be sure to extend the design into the bleed.

Now, unhide the Illustrator business card template layer and unlock it. Copy the dashed line for the safe text area. and re-hide & lock the layer.

Paste the Safe text area dashed line on your artwork to ensure that your artwork is acceptable.

Once you have confirmed that all text is in the safe text area, delete the dashed line.

Save a Copy of the Illustrator Card Template as a High Quality PDF, deselect “preserve editing capabilities” and add trim marks and bleed.

How to use a pdf business card template for a custom shape

Right-click on the pdf business card template file and open with Illustrator (Or another programme)

Go to the Layers panel and add a new layer under the Die Layer (The pink line layer)

Design your business card in the allotted space – Be sure to extend the design over. the pink line to the border of the page.

Now, make a block with the rectangle tool that is 6mm smaller in width & height (This is to check that your text is within the safe text area)

Once you have confirmed that all text is in the safe text area, delete this line.

Save a Copy of the Illustrator Business Card Template as a High Quality PDF, deselect “preserve editing capabilities” and add trim marks and bleed.
